Purgatory Litany
A litany is a form of prayer with a common response to each petition or supplication. In this Litany for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, the response after each petition is: Jesus, have mercy! O Jesus, you suffered and died that all mankind might be saved and brought to eternal happiness. Hear our pleas for further mercy on the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
Purgatory Rosary
The Rosary for the Holy Souls in Purgatory is very similar to the Sorrowful Mysteries of the daily Rosary. Click Here for detailed information on how to pray the Rosary. In praying the Sorrowful Mysteries for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, just include two, brief additional prayers at the end of each Rosary Mystery. After the First Sorrowful Mystery, the Agony in the Garden, pray:
Queenship 2019
Venerable Pope Pius XII established this feast in 1954. But Mary’s queenship has roots in Scripture. At the Annunciation, Gabriel announced that Mary’s Son would receive the throne of David and rule forever (Luke 1:26-38). At the Visitation, Elizabeth calls Mary “mother of my Lord” (Luke 1:39-56). As in all the mysteries of Mary’s life, she is closely associated with Jesus: Her queenship is a share in Jesus’ kingship.

This significant feast day recalls the spiritual and physical departure of the mother of Jesus Christ from the earth, when both her soul and her body were taken into the presence of God. The deceased in heaven receive an increase in their intimacy of God’s love and an increase in their own intercessory power.” – Saint Thomas Aquinas (who called this “accidental glory”) Excerpt from the book, Day by Day for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, by Susan Tassone © 2014.

While most requests for Masses and special Gregorian Masses come from within the United States, many are received from countries all over the world via the website of the North American Province. We are happy to report that: Gregorian Masses are making a big comeback!
Make Whole Again
Turning to supplication, they prayed that the sinful deed might be fully blotted out. The noble Judas exhorted the people to keep themselves free from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what had happened because of the sin of those who had fallen. He then took up a collection among all his soldiers, amounting to 2,000 silver drachmas, which he sent to Jerusalem to provide for an expiatory sacrifice.
Bald Guy's Fishing School
I’m the Bald Guy. Typically, when someone asks me how many kids I have, I respond, “Only six.” Of course, my pretty bride of 45 years joins me on our path. All six kids are grown and married, and spread out among Texas, California, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Washington. There are 14 grandkids counting the twins that are due in August 2019. The twins are already very much loved and special members of our growing family.
